Loren "Kay" Morse Obituary (Age 80) Entered into rest on May 16 in Spokane,WA. Celebration of Life with military honors and stories will be held Saturday, June 4 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home on Government Way. Kay loved hunting, fishing, gardening, collecting, educating grandchildren, traveling, reading, and had a motto: "There is no bad day of the year". He was never without a story. He grew up on the Willamette, River out of Albany, Oregon, graduated from Albany High, was in Hi-Y National Honor Society, Toastmaster's, OSU, member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, worked in the Forestry Camps fighting fires in the summer, joined the Air Force and was a cryptanalyst, retired out of Survival School at Fairchild in 1974. He is a Viet Nam Vet and served in Germany, where he taught hunting classes to the military personnel in his spare time. Activities included: President of the Washington State Sportsmen's Council 1980-81, Big Game Council Board Member and Treasurer, Marine Corps League Secretary, Spokane Navy League Program chairman, enjoyed traveling and was the best tour guide all over the World on the Military hops. "Kay" was born in San Jose, CA May 18, 1930 to Lewis C. and Lora E. (Mcgann) Morse and is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lewis, and the mother of his children: Mary Jean (Olivario) Morse. He is survived by their children Thomas Morse of Bremerton, WA and Mary Lorraine Kresge (of Honolulu, Hawaii. He has enjoyed a second family with wife of 26 years, Joan, and her children Julie, Robert and Scott Heston, eight combined grandchildren and two brothers: Gilbert and Jim Morse of Albany, Oregon. Memorials can be made to M.M. Smith Det, MCL Relief Fund, W. 300 Mission, Spokane, WA.
