January 01, 1930 - November 25, 2011

Lorraine "Yvonne" Krupke Obituary (Age 82) Peacefully slipped away to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2011. Yvonne was born in Farmington, WA on January 1, 1930. At a young age, she moved to Lamont, WA with her mother, Lucille Steward and her brother Richard, where her mother took a position as a housekeeper for Alvin T. Swanson, a local farmer whom she later married. Yvonne attended school in Lamont from 1st-12th grade and then enrolled at Whitworth College in Spokane, WA. Yvonne attended a Youth for Christ Rally in Sprague, WA where she met and later married Russell Krupke in 1948. They lived and worked on a farm in the Reardan-Edwall area and later moved to Davenport, WA where Russell continued his career as a Safeway store manager. They were blessed with three children, Charles (Betty) Krupke, Marcia (Mark) Smith, and Tammi Farmer. They have four grand- children, Laurie (Mike) Holden, Nicholas (Stephanie) Krupke, and TeeJay and Treasure Farmer along with one great-grandchild, Kaelyn Holden. Yvonne always gave of herself to others and volunteered her time to many worthy causes. She was on the founding board of Christian Heritage Schools located in Edwall, WA. She was past Chairman of the Lincoln County American Cancer Society, enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher, and held offices in the Lincoln County Christian Women's Club. After Russell retired from Safeway, they moved to Spokane where they enjoyed many years together with their family and friends. They loved to travel and their favorite place was the ocean, both the Oregon and Florida coastlines. Russell and Yvonne's true love for over 63 years is an example of two people that were committed to God and to each other. Their lives together reflect God's beauty in the love each offered the other. It is their love and their strong faith in their Savior and Lord Jesus Christ that carried them through the struggles of Yvonne's battle with Parkinson's disease and its unpleasant affects over these past few years. Yvonne was loved and cherished by all those who knew her. A beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her smile, compassionate heart and the way in which she deeply cared will be missed by all. She is now at home in her Father's house, in the mansion He prepared for her. No longer on a stormy sea but in God's safe, quite harbor. She is now made perfect in His holiness and is where she had longed to be. We will miss you on earth but will see you in Heaven! Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, December 5th at 1pm at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Heritage School, Edwall, WA or charity of choice.
