Lucile Allison Swartz Obituary Lucile Allison Swartz, 85, passed away on Sept. 21, 2011 in Spokane, surrounded by her loving family. Allison was born in Spokane on June 17, 1926 the second of five children to Fred and Bernadine Frick. She attended school in Marlin, WA. On June 22, 1942 she married the love of her life, Don H. Swartz, I in Sandpoint, Idaho. In 1953 they moved to Moses Lake, WA and started their business, Don H. Swartz Electric. Allison was a selfless, loving person and an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for 50 years. She was active in many church activities including LWML, serving as Zone President, youth group leader, Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was also civic minded and involved in Soroptimist International, PTA, Lady Lions, 4-H leader, Camp Fire leader, the Miss Moses Lake committee, Republican Women?s Club and served on a Grant County Grand Jury investigation for 3 years. Allison had an appreciation of the beautiful things in life and enjoyed decorating, entertaining, and gardening. She was always curious and adventurous and loved to travel; but her passion in life was spending time with family and friends at her lake home, Tall Pines, in Coeur D?Alene, ID. She taught her children and grandchildren to believe in endless possibilities and to ?Always reach for the stars?. She looked for the best in everyone and never lost her childlike playfulness and infectious laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Don, her parents, her brother David, her nephew, Jesse Goetz and her niece, Susan Frick. She is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Goetz and Phyllis (Chris) Larsen of Spokane and her brother, Don Frick of Odessa, sister-in-law, Mary Frick of Moses Lake. Her children Annarae (Dave) Schorzman, Fruitland, ID, Don (Carolann) Swartz, Moses Lake, Linda (Jim) Mercer, Scottsdale, AZ, Carolyn (Kerry) Boggio, Red Lodge, MT, Becky (John) Perry, Spokane, and Larry (Debbie) Swartz, Spokane, 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home at 508 N. Government Way in Spokane. Funeral services are Monday, September 26, 2011 at 3:00p.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 4320 S. Conklin St., Spokane, WA and internment will be Tuesday, September 27 at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur D?Alene, ID. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beautiful Savior?s Community Garden for Second Harvest, Union Gospel Mission, or Ogden Hall.
