Lucille Olin Obituary (Age 99) Lucille passed away September 23, 2014. She was born May 20, 1915 to Leo and Julia Drobig, she was the 2nd of 2 daughters. In 1918 her mother died of the Spanish flu. Leo remarried Marie, and later they had another daughter. Lucille graduated from Marycliff High School in 1934, then went on to Kinman Business University, graduating in 1935. After school she worked at a lumber company, where the boss and his wife took her fishing at Priest Lake, this began her lifelong love affair with fishing. Lucille met Harry Olin, a gas station attendant, and they would marry in 1942. While Harry was away in Germany for WWII, Lucille had a baby boy who only lived 3 hours, due to complication of her losing the baby she was unable to have any other children. Upon Harry�s return from the war, using the GI Bill, they bought a new home in the Shadle area where they would spend the rest of their lives. In 1944 Lucille started working for the IRS, she quit in 1952, when, through Catholic Adoptions the couple would receive a baby boy, Mike, and in 1955 they would adopt baby boy Scott. Lucille stayed at home to raise the children until the mid 60�s when she went to work at Commerce Mortgage Company with her sister Doris, Lucille retired from here in the mid 70�s. Harry died in May 2003. Lucille spent the last years of her life going to Priest Lake in the summers and was involved with her church, St. Charles. Lucille was an avid jogger for 25 years, running well into her 80�s. She ran in 20 Bloomsday races and in several Priest Lake Fun Runs.
