Luella Ann Anderson Obituary Luella Ann Anderson, a 75-year resident of Spokane, died peacefully in her sleep on June 16 at age 95. Luella was born on March 26, 1925, in Lisbon, North Dakota, to Paul and Alma Anderson. She graduated from Lisbon High School. At 19 years old she followed her older sisters Pearl and Mildred to Spokane Washington where their Aunt Hilda Nordstrom, lived. Her first job in Spokane was as a bookkeeper at Spokane and Eastern bank. She went on to work at Safeway in their main office. She attended the Kinman School of Business where she studied typing and shorthand. She was a Real Estate agent and owned several notable properties in the Spokane area. The Kaiser house on South Grand Avenue and Highland Hall apartment complex on South Cedar were two examples.Luella graduated from Eastern Washington State College (now known as Eastern Washington University) and spent many years working as a teacher in Cheney and Medical Lake as well as at Eastern Washington University helping student teachers learn valuable skills. She spent her retirement volunteering for many organizations including the Spokane Museum and Spokane Symphony. Later in life she studied Graphoanalysis (handwriting analysis) and was a featured lecturer on cruise ships. Luella spent many years traveling the world but never wanted to call any place other than Spokane home. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to any of the children�s programs at the Spokane Symphony. There will be a graveside service at Fairmount Cemetery on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 12:30.
