Marcus Scott King Obituary With heavy hearts we must say goodbye to Marcus. Marc had the biggest and kindest heart of anyone youll ever know. He made our lives worth living. Marc never gave up the fight for life and had an amazing, positive attitude. For those who knew Marc we will always remember that infectious, genuine smile and the warmth he brought to all of us. On October 4th we lost his fight with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Marc was born in Spokane and lived in Newman Lake most of his life. Marc graduated from East Valley High School in 2007 and attended SCC for a short time. He enjoyed watching sports and particularly the Seahawks, WSU Cougs and Gonzaga. He also loved spending time at the family cabin at Spirit Lake fishing and boating. He had many fond memories of campouts, concerts, trips and outings with family and friends. Marc is survived by his parents Tim and Margie King, sisters Jenny King, and Krystal (Mike) Siegfried, Grandmother Anna Mae King and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends including Rob Jopson, Ian Bergevin, Cody Johnson, Jane Mark and the Fruend family. Special thanks to the support of the home care providers, Kathy Carlson, Krystal Patrick, Nathan Brown, and Georgi Gorman, who were like family and his primary care Doctor Charles Haigh. Thank you to Marcs East Valley School District Aid program members including, but not limited to Jana, Sue, Aimee and especially his special bond with the late Lori Dompier. Marc was and is our hero; well love you forever- mom, dad, family and friends. All are welcome at Marcs celebration of life Friday, October 9th, 1 PM at Heritage 508 W Government Way, Spokane, 99224. Afterwards, please join us at Epic at Northern Quest Casino about 3 PM and feel free to wear your Seahawks gear to either or both events for Marc! To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Marcus, please visit our Tree Store.
