Margaret Beatrice Laycock Obituary Margaret was born to loving parents William and Martha Hunteman in Seattle, WA on May 9, 1925. She passed away on February 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1943 and moved to Omak, WA where she met and married George W. Laycock in 1946 where they enjoyed 48 years together. They had three daughters, Linda, Georgiana and Barbara. She worked as a bookkeeper at several businesses in Omak and belonged to the Lady Elks, Nellie E. Scott Orthopedic Group and Dance Club. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, crafts and watching her favorite ZAGS basketball team. After George's passing she moved to Fairwood Retirement Village in Spokane where she met many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: John, Thomas, James, Joseph and Paul Maley; three sisters: Mary Maley, Rosemary Corrigan and Dorothy Brannon. She is survived by daughters: Linda Streeter of Spokane; Georgie (Lee) Evans of Loon Lake, WA, and Barbara Orr of Omak. Six grandchildren: Steve (Jill) Streeter of Okanogan, WA; Kate Olsen of Vancouver, WA; Leslie (Scott) Poole of Vancouver, WA; Eric (Malana) Evans of Spokane, WA; Dr. Kellee Orr of Okanogan, WA; and Kimberlee Orr of Spokane, WA, and seven great-grandchildren Ryan and Kate Poole, Dylan and Lyndsi Streeter, Chase, Sophia and Blake Evans and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Omak with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 2253, Spokane, WA 99210-2253.
