Margaret D. (Nee Dunn) Morton Obituary (Age 95) Died on December 16, 2010. She was born in Spokane, WA on August 8, 1915 to George and Augusta Dunn of Spokane. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, and graduated in 1933 from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane. She also attended the University of Washington, and Eastern Washington College of Education, graduating from Eastern in 1940 with a teaching degree. She taught in the elementary schools in Washtucna and Lind, Washington. She subsequently married Richard E. Morton, a physician who was establishing a practice in Pullman. She was active with the Pullman Community Theatre, and with KWSU, the Washington State University radio station. She hosted a regular weekly radio show, "Paging People with Peg", on KWSU Radio for several years, and supported the Pullman chapter of the Delta Gamma sorority. She enjoyed vacationing at the family's lake cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene, ID. After R.E. Morton's death, she lived in La Jolla, California, and Del Mar, California, involving herself as a real estate agent for several years, finally relocating back to Spokane in 2002 with her daughter, Carol Morton Faw, her son David T. Morton (Leslie Power), her stepson William J. Morton, and grandchildren Kelly Morton (Greg Crossman), and Kristopher Morton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Richard E. Morton Pre-Medicine Scholarship c/o the College of Sciences, P.O. Box 641927, Washington State University, Pullman, WA 99164. At her request, no formal services will be held.
