Margaret Velma Rosenberger Obituary (Age 95) Passed away on December 16, 2013 in Spokane, WA. She was born on September 5, 1918 in Metaline Falls, WA to Gus and Mary Selonka. Margaret married John A. Rosenberger on May 16, 1937. Prior to moving to Spokane in 1958, Margaret and John also resided in Stevenson, WA and Umatilla, OR. She enjoyed Gonzaga basketball and WSU football, especially the Apple Cup. In high school in Metaline Falls, Margaret was selected Northern Dairy Queen from a field of 20 girls. First place prize was $5.00. She also enjoyed her numerous winning trips to the casinos. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church and supported the Union Gospel Mission. Margaret is survived by her son Ronald (Janet) of Chewelah, sister Katie Powell and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Janet Kay, her husband John, sisters Ethel Baker and Flora Bragg, and her brother Tom Selonka. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to WSU Veterinary School Good Samaritan Fund, P.O Box 647010, Washington State University, Pullman, WA 99164-7010 to assist dogs and cats whose owners are not in a position to pay for treatment.
