Margery Alberta Sucher Obituary (Age 96) Margery Alberta Sucher was born Margery Alberta Cummer on February 4, 1920 in Toronto, Canada to George and Eva (McKay) Cummer. She passed away May 30, 2016 in Spokane. Her parents, as well as her brother, Grenville, preceded her in death, along with her beloved husband of 48 years, Harry V. Sucher, Jr. She is survived by her children, Alexandra Simonds, of Spokane, and Jason (Lingling) Tuck, of Diamond Bar, CA; her granddaughters, Victoria (Andrew) Benson and Elizabeth (Jae) Ham, all of Spokane; and her great-grands: Quinn Connacher, and Weston and Dahlia Ham. Margery came to NYC from Toronto in 1939 at age 19, to work for British Intelligence during WWII. She became a US citizen in 1957, and thoroughly embraced her new country as an exuberant, lifelong patriot. She moved to Spokane from Yorba Linda, CA in 2011, to live at Touchmark on the South Hill, where she made dear friends of both staff and residents alike. She enjoyed the many and varied activities there, specifically, as an avid reader, she loved her work in the library. Margery's family would like to thank Touchmark for their 5+ years of love and care for her, in both the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing areas. A small Remembrance Ceremony was held graveside at Riverside Memorial Park, on July 2, 2016 with family and close friends sharing stories and eulogies of Margery's full, well-lived 96 years, and rejoicing together that she, after her many travels and streams of life, has been carried at last by the current of His love, home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Margery, please visit our Tree Store.
