Margery Lee (Stevens) Norman-Dragoo Obituary (Age 80) Born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 8, 1931 and passed away at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center on July 19, 2011. She attended Holly High (Mich.) School and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane. Margery went on to earn her degree in accounting. She was an office manager/bookkeeper for Crystal Laundry, Empire Glass and RC Schwartz, also becoming a real estate agent. Margery was an avid reader, and was proud of winning several spelling bee contests. When younger, she was quite the equestrian. In addition, she enjoyed playing games with her family, bowling and golfing. She was very proud that two of her ancestors signed the Declaration of Independence. She was a devout Christian, eventually converting to Roman Catholic, and instilled that faith in all of her children. She married her high school sweetheart, James E. Dragoo, in May of 1947 and they had four children. She later married Richard Norman in April of 1975. She is predeceased by sister Shirley Ann Totten; brother Wesley Ray Perrin; daughter Margene Gail Biddle; and husband Richard Norman. Margery is survived by former husband James E. Dragoo; daughters Shirley Dawn Keenan (husband Dan), Carolee Sue Giersdorf (husband Ed, deceased) and son James Ernest Dragoo, Jr. (wife Nancy); grandchildren Justin Giersdorf, Seth Giersdorf, James E. Dragoo III, Jessie Dragoo, Christopher Dragoo and Shealee Dawn Dragoo; and great-grandchild Andrew Giersdorf. The family would like to express its overwhelming gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph's Care Center and Providence SHMC, and Dr. Brian Seppi and Dr. Diane Danley for their compassionate care of our mother. Margery's nephew, The Reverend Robert Totten, will preside over the services, to be held 1PM Wednesday, July 27, at Heritage Chapel, followed by a brief committal at the gravesite.
