Marguerite Christine (Hoenes) Carter Obituary (Age 91) Passed away on February 15, 2011. Marguerite graduated from North Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart, William J. (Bill) Carter in March of 1940 in Spokane. After living in Seattle for about four years, Marge and Bill returned to Spokane and stayed for the remainder of their lives. Marge was an avid gardener and an accomplished seamstress. She was very active in her church, St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran. She is survived by her children James Carter of Spokane, Joanne Calhoon (Robert) of Spokane, Gary Carter (Deanna) of Minneapolis, MN, and Jeffrey Carter (Pamela) of Federal Way, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Carter, a brother, Frederick Hoenes of Phoenix, AZ and sister Norma Deissner of Spokane. Marguerite resided at Royal Park Care Center for the last four years where she was lovingly cared for by staff and volunteers. Memorial Service will be Monday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6905 N. Country Homes Blvd.
