Marian J. Pearson Obituary A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend went to join her loved ones who were waiting for her the Kingdom of God with open arms. She fought a courageous nine year battle with colon cancer. The smile on her face and the twinkle in here eyes were mentioned by all who knew her throughout her illness. She never complained and never lost her sense of humor, her laugh was contagious. Born and raised in Newman Lake, she attended school there before moving to Spokane where she spent the rest of her life raising her family. Marian graduated from Kinman Business University and later became the accountant/ bookkeeper for the Hollenback Piano Company which she and her husband owned and ran for nearly 30 years. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 56 years, Raymond Pearson, two sons Ronald (Debbie) Pearson and Roger (Dorie) Pearson, and daughter Pamela (John) Mulligan all of Spokane, two grandsons Lee and Ryan Pearson, sister Hazel Tschetter and sister in law Viola Temple. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews. Marian had an extended church family who loved her and will miss her smile and sense of humor. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church on north Monroe since 1953. All who knew her were blessed with her laughter, smile and her love for life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Marian was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Hazel Temple, and her brothers Ed and Larry Temple. The staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center, St. Joseph Care Center and the Hospice House of Spokane all loved the spirit she carried as she fought her long battle. Marian loved to travel, go camping and fishing and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church, 6528 N. Monroe. A reception will follow at the church before continuing to Fairmount Memorial Park for a graveside service at 3:30 PM. Visitation will be held Monday, May 25th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way. Memorial contributions may be made in Marian's memory to Hospice of Spokane or the American Cancer Society.
