Marianne Borders Obituary (Age 81) Our much beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, on September 19, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by family. Marianne was born on February 27, 1934 in Sembach, Germany, the daughter of Maria and Heinrich Relle'. Mom grew up in Germany where she met and married our father Raymond Borders in 1958. In 1959 they moved to Browns Mills, New Jersey until 1961 when they relocated to Spokane, Washington, which became their life long home, of 53 years. It was here where she raised seven children and was active with the many activities of young parenting life. She was involved with scouts, sports, and band parenting. She was also active in Mission Community Presbyterian Church and the Mission Community Outreach Center. Her life was spent as a wife, and homemaker, dedicated and devoted to her family. The absolute joy in her life were her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was also a huge NASCAR, Seahawk, and Mariner fan. Survivors include seven children: Curtis (Teresa) Borders, Jo Ann (Eric) Hagen, Roxann (George) Neal, Heidi Borders, Chris (Penny) Borders, Cindy (Burton) Jeffreys, and Corey (Lori) Borders. She also leaves behind thirteen adored grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Borders. Visitation will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 10:00-5:00 at Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, September 28, 2015 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, graveside service following.
