Marie Annette (Powers) Draper Obituary (Age 78) Passed away peacefully on March 31, 2015. Born in Boston, MA on September 1st, Marie attended Kenwood Convent of the Sacred Heart in Albany, NY throughout her early schooling. This was followed by her attendance at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA where she studied Early Childhood Education. She married Thomas (Tim) Draper on November 17, 1956 in Chestnut Hill, MA. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas F. (Tim) Draper, Jr., her father and mother, H.W. and Theresa Powers, and sister Theresa Morrisey. Marie is survived and very well loved by her five children, Cheryl Clossin, Spokane, WA; Mary Mancuso, Discovery Bay, CA; Thomas Draper III, (Forest Grove, OR); Joseph Draper, (Otisfield, ME); and Teresa Casey, (St. Cloud, MN), her seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jack Powers and her sister, Norma Delaney as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was a self-taught cook, seamstress, knitter and rug hooker, among many other talents. Although she was very humble, her family would argue that she deserved formal recognition for her many life accomplishments. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. A reception will be announced at the service.
