April 25, 1920 - September 11, 2009

Marilyn Ferne (Fuller) Fyhrie Obituary Beloved wife and mother, passed into the hands of God September 11, 2009. Born April 25, 1920 in Emmett, Idaho to Ward and Ferne Fuller, Marilyn was a very active and social person, visiting with friends and strangers alike, no matter where they met. Marilyn's kindness and unique spirit have left an indelible impression on the lives and character of those fortunate enough to be acquainted with her. Always standing up for the underdog, this strong woman worked hard for equality in the workplace. After working for 30 years as a secretary for the federal government at Fort Wright, Geiger and Fairchild Air Force Base, she married George Fyhrie in 1974. She had a wonderful long retirement enjoying RV travel, pets, ceramics, oil painting, creative writing, hiking and gardening. Marilyn is survived by her husband George Fyhrie; her sister Faye Ebner of San Mateo, CA; children Marcialyn (Mike) McCarthy of Vashon, Laura Luca (Bob) of Spokane, David (Patty) Fyhrie of Davis, CA, Christina (Marty) Reichlin of Seattle, Suzanne (Ken) Parrott of Gleneden Beach, OR, Peter (Tricia) Fyhrie of Portland, OR; 11 grandchildren; sister-in-law Lauri Fuller of Australia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ward M. Fuller, mother Ferne Fuller, brother Phil Fuller, and sister Patricia Thomas. We will miss her but know she dwells in our hearts and memories forever. Memorial Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Saturday, September 26th, at 10 a.m. Following the service her daughter will host a luncheon at her home.
