Marilyn Joy Friedman Obituary (Age 85) Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, passed away February 17, 2017 at her home in Spokane Valley, WA. Marilyn was born December 11, 1931 in Colville, WA to Jay and Rene Miller. She married the love of her life, Albert Friedman on December 9, 1950 in Colville, WA, and they were married for 65 years. Together they owned and operated Sunset Pharmacy and Broadway Pharmacy in Spokane. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family as well as music, dancing and boating. Marilyn and Al were active members and officers in the Spokane Yacht Club, the International Order of Blue Gavel, and the Inland Empire Explorers Winnebago Club. Marilyn is survived by her children, Valerie Bartlett of Spokane Valley, Janice (Leroy) Miller of Spokane and Jay Friedman of Spokane Valley; brother, Bud Miller; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Friedman; son, Craig Friedman; father and mother, Jay and Rene Miller; brother, Jim English; and sisters, Midge Heberling and Jeanie Pratt. Viewing will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. and Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 12:30p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Fairmount Memorial Park. Forever in our hearts!
