Marilynn Louise (Meister) Scott Obituary (Age 83) Passed away peacefully December 3, 2010 after a long health battle. Born September 25, 1927 and a long time resident of Spokane WA. She graduated from North Central High School then attending Willamette University where she earned an associates degree. She began working as a dental assistant at the Paulsen Bldg, moving on to a long career in insurance as a claims adjuster for Safeco and Mutual of Enumclaw, eventually retired. During her life she was very involved in Spokane Insurance Women's Assoc., sang with Sweet Adeline's and performed in plays in the Firth Chew Studio at the Civic Theatre. She was known for her consistent humor, spunk, wit and overwhelming love for all her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents Lelia Whitlock Meister and Frank John Meister, her sister Lois Lehrer. She is survived by her daughter Kirsten Bucher (husband Paul),Greg Wold, four grandchildren Brandon, Chad and Alison Bucher and Sean Wold, her brother, Karl Frank Meister; her aunt, Rita Meister; step-children Kathy, Richard and Thomas Scott and their spouses and children, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Chapel at 9:30AM Saturday December 11, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
