September 09, 1923 - September 09, 2016

Marjorie Patricia (Frazier) Prothero Obituary Marjorie passed away at home surrounded by family who were gathered to celebrate her 93rd birthday. Born in Briggsdale, CO before birth certificates were commonplace, her mother's Bible said she was born in 1923. However, the only written proof said 1922. Of course she went by the youngest date! The oldest girl of 8, she cared for her siblings until she married Clarence Prothero, October 16, 1939. They moved to Spokane when their first 2 daughters, Margie and Carmelita, were 2 and 4 years old. They moved to their current home when Idarae, their 3rd daughter was 1 year old and have lived there since. After her husband's death in 1995, her daughter, Margie lived with and cared for her. They were the best of friends and companions. They enjoyed many adventures and activities ... trips, cruises, camping, bowling. Their team won first place in their league last year and she bowled just days before passing away. She made it to her 93rd birthday and her family sang her Happy Birthday before sitting down for a long nap. She is survived by 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren as well as 3 sisters in Colorado and New York. We will all miss her! A member of The Salvation Army since her youth, she devoted much of her life and energies to her church. Visitation for Marjorie will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from Noon to 5:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Salvation Army, 222 E. Indiana Ave, Spokane WA 99207.
