December 10, 1922 - July 25, 2018

Marjorie (Phillips) Ramsey Obituary (Age 95) Marjorie Ramsey of Rockford, WA passed away peacefully on July 25, 2018. She was born to Edward and Marjorie Phillips on December 10, 1922 in Wallace, ID. Marjorie married Glen Ramsey during the war on August 20, 1943 in St. Augustine, FL, and they raised three wonderful children together on the farm near Rockford. Marjorie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As an only child herself, she succeeded in having the big family she always dreamed of. She was an incredible homemaker who loved her date nights to go dancing at the Elks Club with Glen. Marjorie was an exceptional cook and had the most amazing rose garden and raspberry patch. She loved playing games, especially Yahtzee, Bridge and several other card games. Marjorie read the newspaper daily to keep up on the events in the world, which cultivated her sharp mind. She spent over 25 years volunteering with the Camp Fire Girls organization beginning in the 1950s. Marjorie always had a welcoming smile and cared deeply for her family and close friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Glen, in 1998. She is survived by her three children: daughter, Carolyn Brain of San Diego; sons Chris (Gail) Ramsey and Roy Ramsey, both of Rockford; her grandchildren, Karen Brain, Nathan (Marguerite) Ramsey, Lane (Mindy) Ramsey, and Joanna (Mike) De Peralta; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Jessica Ramsey, Bodie, Piper and Bridger Ramsey, and Kalia De Peralta; as well as many extended relatives. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at CenterPlace at Mirabeau Point Park, 2426 N Discovery Place in Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 2-5pm. The family wishes to thank Lena and her incredible staff at Lena's Gentle Care for their loving support of Marjorie, and to the amazing team at Horizon Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Camp Fire Inland Northwest, Lena's Gentle Care Inc, Horizon Hospice, or an organization of your choice in Marjorie's name.
