Marquerite Ann Croyle Obituary Even in school, Ann always made herself available to provide help to less fortunate girls. In the early 1950s, she was an active member of "Rainbow for Girls" and was instrumental in Girl Scouts in Texarkana, Texas. Ann also put together the largest Girl Scout troop in Germany for military families. Her achievements were so impressive that Lady Baden-Powell, who championed scouting, met with Ann to honor her with the exchange of membership pins. She came from England just for this honor. Ann was born in New Orleans, and moved to Texarkana, Texas where she was raised by her grandparents and then moved to Tacoma, Washington. In Tacoma in 1967, Ann met the love of her life, Homer Croyle. They moved to Spokane, Washington in 1972 where she resided until she passed on August 10, 2010. Ann is survived by her children, Marguerite Wood-Croyle, Tammy Baird-Croyle, David Croyle and Sharon Webber-Croyle, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, August 14th at 12:00 noon for Ann Croyle at Our Lady of Fatima Church - 1517 E 33rd Avenue, Spokane, WA 99203. The Interment will follow at 1:30 at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
