Martha Esther (Zier) Sullivan Obituary Martha passed away peacefully at Manorcare Health Services of Spokane on Monday, February 25, 2013. She was 97 years old. She was born on a farm in Odessa, Washington. She graduated from Odessa High School where she lettered in track and other sports. After graduation she moved to Spokane to attend Kinman Business College. She met her husband, John Clifton Sullivan in Spokane and they enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. Clifton preceded her in death in 1995. She worked at Union Pacific Railroad after her children were grown and was active in her church, Messiah Lutheran, for many years. She enjoyed bowling on leagues in Spokane until she was 93 years old. Martha is survived by her two sons and their wives, John Sullivan and Shirley of Spokane, and Dennis Sullivan and Judy of Fullerton, California. She is also survived by her daughter, Janet Hodgson, of Peoria, Arizona. Martha had many years to enjoy her seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Martha was the friend everyone would like to have: always helpful, giving, and caring. Friends and family are all going to miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Union Gospel Mission of Spokane. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Riverside Memorial Park, 508 N.
