Martha Jolene Florin Obituary
On March 29, 2011 God called one of his most beautiful creations home. Martha Jolene Florin, age 61, was a cherished and profoundly loved wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend. She lived for, and devoted every moment and ounce of herself to her family - nothing in life mattered more to her. Our lives will be forever altered and hollowed without her. Marty was born in Pasco, WA in 1950 to Johnny and Erlene Alvina Earls (Gray). She grew up in Grand Coulee, WA and graduated in 1968. She moved to Spokane in 1973, met her soon to be husband shortly thereafter, they married in 1976, and spent the remaining years raising their family in Otis Orchards, WA. Marty was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1979 and spent 32 years rebelliously battling this chronic, progressive and unpredictable disease which ultimately and unexpectedly stole her from us. She leaves behind the love of her life, best friend, and husband of 35 years, Daniel Michael Florin; her three children, their spouses and her beloved grandchildren - daughter Jennifer Marie, her husband David and grandsons Anthony and Darian; son Michael David, his wife Christal and granddaughter Trinity; and son Kristopher Daniel and his wife Sonja; her loving sister, Margaret Busenbark; her brother, Edward Gray; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Marty loved bringing her family together as often as possible, especially for her special dinners, she treasured spending time with her grandkids, she adored her two dogs (a.k.a. second kids), she loved her flowers and tinkering in her beautiful yard, and greatly enjoyed traveling to warm places. She spent many years of her life as a florist creating breathtaking arrangements for weddings, homes, and businesses. Her hard work and dedication in everything she did was awe-inspiring. She was a special, extraordinary woman and the pearl of our lives. A time of visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7th from 10 am to 5 pm, Friday, April 8th from 8am to 5 pm and Saturday, April 9th from 8 am to 3 pm. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9th at 3 pm.
