Martha Lou "Mimou" Jones

Martha Lou Jones, age 97, of El Paso, TX passed away on September 23rd, 2024.  Martha was born on March 9, 1927 in Dallas, TX, to Walter Humphrey and Bessie Mae Meeks.

 

Martha married Roy C Jones in 1946 and the couple had 3 children together.  She was an amazing homemaker, and was deeply involved in her church for the majority of his/her life.

 

Martha enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren (known to them as Mimou),  teaching a Sunday School class and Women’s Bible study and singing in the church choir. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring, loving, devout follower of Christ with a great sense of humor.

 

Martha is survived by her daughter Marsha Martin (Jim Martin), of Spokane, WA; her son Paul Jones (Joanne Jones of Anderson, SC; and her grandchildren Bethany Martin, Grant Martin (Andrea Martin), Zach Jones and Kaitlyn Jones and her great grandchildren Olivia Martin and Max Martin.  She is preceded in death by her husband Roy C Jones, Sr and her son Roy C Jones, Jr.

 

Celebration of Life/ Funeral Service is scheduled for 2 pm on September 30, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Martha’s life.
