Mary Absalonson Obituary Mary Absalonson, 84, joined her savior Jesus Christ on July 6, 2011, while briefly residing with her son in Sammamish, WA. She was born January 14, 1927 in Spokane, WA and raised in Spokane by her parents John and Loretta (Burns) Mulvey. Mary graduated from Marycliff Catholic H.S and was a native and life-long resident of Spokane. Mary married her husband of 62 years, Lloyd Absalonson on June 15, 1946. They raised three children: Linda (Bill) Kendall, Darlene Absalonson, and Stephen (Audrey) Absalonson. Her brother Joe (Laverne) Mulvey of Lompoc, CA and sisters-in-law Louise and Carol Absalonson of Spokane and Evelyn Miller of Lebanon, OR survive her. Mary has six grandchildren (Rob, Jared, Trevor, Michelle, Nicholas, and Michael), seven great-grandchildren (Hayden, Kayla, Avery, Gracie, Kyle, Ryan, and Brooks) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary's parents and brothers Jack, Robert and Frank preceded her in death. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mary was passionate about life and enjoyed devoting time to family, friends, and her beloved pets. Mom and Dad enjoyed their travels together. She taught us the values of caring for others, honesty, devotion to God and the importance of commitment to family. Mary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church (Wellesley & Wall) for over 40 years. A celebration of her life and funeral service will be at Trinity Lutheran, 1PM, Saturday, July 16 followed by graveside burial at Fairmount Cemetery and a reception back at Trinity Lutheran. Visitation is Friday from 2 PM to 5 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Meals on Wheels and/or National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
