Mary Alice Holmstrom

Mary Alice Holmstrom Obituary (Age 85) Passed away on October 11, 2009 in Spokane, WA. She was born on April 30, 1924 in Coquille, OR to Bird Leroy and Beulah Marie Nosler. At age 17 she moved to Santa Monica to be with her older sister. While there she worked at Douglas Aircraft Company. In 1943 she came to Spokane and lived with her aunt Georgia. In 1944 she married Martin Mildes and in 1945 gave birth to her only child and daughter Donna. In 1975 she married George Holmstrom. After George passed away in 1996, Mary moved to the Riverview Retirement Home until September of 2009. Mary was an active member of the 1st Covenant Church in Spokane. The depth of Mary's faith was not only amazing but it was also an inspiration to others over the years. Mary is survived by her daughter Donna Kuhnle of Northglenn, CO; grandchildren Kaishawn Wong of Parker, CO, Randall Wong of Westminster, CO, Linda (Michael) Moncivais of Thornton, CO, Christopher Kuhnle ofDenver, CO; great-grandchildren Candace and Natalie Moncivais; sister Grayce Y. Wilbur of Spokane and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband George Holstrom and brother Earl Nosler. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 2:00PM at the 1st Covenant Church, 212 S Division St., Spokane.
