Maryanne Neu passed away at her home on June 21, 2026 at the age of 86, after a brave 5-year battle with Cancer. She was born in Spokane in 1939 to George Lewis Olds and Rosa Mae Bryant . Her father worked as Track Foreman of the Inland Empire Paper Mill before the family moved to Lewistown, Montana when Maryanne was 10 years old. She married James Franklin Swiney in Lewistown in 1955 and had two sons, James and George. They divorced and Maryanne met and married Kenneth D. Neu, also divorced with his own 5 children, in 1961 in Great Falls, MT. They have one daughter, Rosa, together.

Maryanne worked as a waitress at Ivar's Seafood Restaurant on the Seattle waterfront in the 1960's and 70's. Â A great thrill for her was when she served Elvis Presley and he gave her a huge tip! Â Settling in Spokane with children still at home, Maryanne worked at the Spokane Club at the front desk for 30 years before her retirement.
Proceeding her in death are her husband Kenny in 2008, her parents and siblings, her son, George Swiney, and daughter, Debi Davison.

Maryanne is forever loved and missed by her sons, Mike (Pam) Neu and James Swiney, Â her daughters, Â Rosa Reeder, Karen Curran and Christi (Jon) Lovcik, her grandsons, Anthony Moore and Justin Neu, Derek Neu, B.J Davison, Chris Davison, Matt and Brian Curran and granddaughters, Stephanie Cook, Angel Moon. Also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.
