Mary Kathryn "Mary Kay" Talbott

On August 27, 2024, Mary Kathryn (Mary Kay) Talbott died in Spokane, Washington, her home of 19 years. She was surrounded by her children in her final hours. Mary Kay was 79 years old.

Mary Kay is survived by her children, Patty Talbott,  Michelle Price and her daughter Morgan, Kristin Talbott, all of Spokane, Washington; Brandon Talbott, his wife Heather Malvinni of Morgan Hill, California, their  children, Brandon,II, Jaxson, and Logan; and siblings James Jacobs of San Jose, CA, Margie Bishop of Benicia, CA, Nancy Smith of Salem , Oregon, and Betty Kavanaugh of  Santa Cruz, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Jacobs, sister Janice Nuñez, and beloved son, Richard Talbott, II. 

Mary Kay was born on October 8, 1944, in Abilene, Texas.  She was raised in the Santa Clara/San Jose, CA area.  She studied early child education and enjoyed working as a preschool teacher and later as a retail associate.  Her favorite job was that of mother to her five children.  Mary Kay and her former husband Richard had their children in the 60s, 70s and 80s, enjoying a large family. In her spare time, Mary Kay loved bowling, gardening, volunteering, attending theater and her mini dachshund, Samantha. Mary Kay's genuine and kind nature will not be forgotten. 

A funeral service for Mary Kay is scheduled for 1:30 pm on September 5,2024, at Heritage Funeral Home at 508 N Government Road, Spokane, WA. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Riverside Memorial Park. A reception will then be held at 508 N Government Road, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Flowers and condolences can be sent to the Heritage Funeral Home.
