Maxine M. Tilton Obituary Maxine was born on May 18, 1918 in Roseburg, OR to Adolph LeBlanc and Pearl Armstrong. Born and raised in Roseburg Maxine was the 2nd of 4 children. While working at T.B. Hospital in Salem, OR she met Merle Tilton whom she married on July 30, 1938. Maxine loved crocheting, knitting, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Merle, and daughter Margaret (Peggy) Hirst, Anchorage, AK. Maxine is survived by her sons Ronald (Mary Ann), Spokane, WA, Kenneth (Jan), Kingston, ID, sister Betty Hagemeister, Vancouver, WA, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home at 4:00PM Saturday July 18, 2009. A private interment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
