Maxine Madge Penney Obituary (Age 91) Born November 16, 1925 in Dyersville, Iowa to Louis and Ester Kauffman. She was the youngest of 7 children. After graduating high school at 16 she moved to Florida where for a time she attended nursing school. In 1947 she met and married Lonnie (Lon) Penney. They had 5 children. They moved to Springfield, OR after Lon retired from the US Navy in 1964. In 1971 they moved to the Camp Creek Area. She was active in Camp Creek Community Church and 3 Rivers Garden Club until the moved into town in 1985. She belonged to The Ladies of the Nile. In 2012 she moved to Spokane, WA to be near her youngest daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lon; son, Charles Penney; and daughters, Virginia Penney and Pamela Paris. Survived by son, Lonnie (Joni) Penney Jr. of Creswell, OR and daughter Twila (Jim) Prociw of Nine Mile Falls, WA; 9 grandchildren, Carrie Bates, Jim Paris, Korin Adamson, Janelle Penney, Kara Penney, Bob Bryant, Matt Bryant, Casey Prociw and Jonathan Abrahamsen; 9 great-grandchildren, Natasha, Wyatt, Hannah, Cole, Henry, Asher, Drake, Ronon and Weston.
