Melba Alice Gardiner Osborn, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 16, 2025, in the Spokane Valley at the age of 91, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in 1933 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, Melba, a faithful follower of Christ, lived a life defined by devotion—to her family, her church, and her values. She carried herself with quiet dignity while offering love and support to those around her. Taking great pride in her own family and in their families as well, Melba left an enduring impact that will be remembered and cherished.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Herbert H. Osborn; daughter, Jane Lahtinen (Duncan); sons, Paul Osborn (LaDawn), Brent Osborn (Rosemary), and Bryan Osborn (Julene); 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Melba’s presence in our lives was a blessing and while she will be profoundly missed, her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
