Melissa Ann Bressler, 75, passed away on May 13th, 2026, leaving behind a world a little brighter, a little more handmade, and a lot more loved. Born in Fort Bragg, California and raised in Spokane, she built a life rooted in care, creativity and a quiet but steady Catholic faith that shaped the way she loved and served others.

A proud graduate of Sacred Heart Nursing School and Gonzaga University, Melissa spent her career as an RN — the kind who remembered details, held hands, and made people feel safe. Outside of work, she poured her heart into crafting of every kind: card making, jewelry, knitting, felting, and anything that involved color, texture, or imagination. If it could be made, Melissa would find a way to make it beautiful with small touches of nature — especially the bees she loved and felt connected to. They showed up in her crafts, her art, and her gentle way of moving through the world.

Melissa is survived by her two children, Andrea Lea Walker and Jordan Kyle Bressler, her grandchildren Silver and Terje Bressler, and her brother Charles Henry Walker. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Taylor Kyle Bressler, with whom she shared many wonderful chapters of her life.

A memorial service will be held on June 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sunset Chapel in Fairmount Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Spokanimal in her memory.
