Melvin T. Cook Obituary Melvin passed away November 4, 2010 in his home in Spokane, WA. He was born February 3, 1920 in Ewan, WA to Ira and Edith Cook. On November 21, 1938 he married Marjorie Nicolls. Years later he joined the Army, serving in WWII. Melvin lived most of his life in Eastern Washington as a farmer, and loved to fish, hunt, play cards and games. He was also a member of the Winona Grange and American Legion. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, three daughters Phyllis Huff (Richard) Spokane Valley, Judith Higgins (Barney) Grants Pass, OR, Patricia Lux (Duane) Spokane, three sisters Naomi, Ilene, Donna Rae, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren (with one on the way) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Marold, Ivan, Neil and one sister Neva. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Paralyzed Vets; Diabetes Foundation; or Easter Seals.
