Melvin Vincent Johnson Obituary Melvin Vincent Johnson (age 53), a dear son and brother, went to rest on May 31, 2013 in his home in Elk, WA. He was born September 22, 1959 in Spokane, WA to Dallas Melvin and Betty June (Allen) Johnson, who preceded him in death in 1985. Vincent was a kind, gentle person who loved to laugh and was eager to help others whenever he could. He was a self-described adventurous country boy who enjoyed a quiet, simple lifestyle, had a soft spot for horses (actually, all animals), and loved kids. He enjoyed being a self-employed auto mechanic. He was a lifelong resident of Elk and attended school at Riverside School District in Chattaroy, WA. Vincent is survived by his father, Dallas, stepmom, Marian, sisters Valerie Johnson of Spokane, WA, Dyanna (Randy) Varner of Trophy Club, TX, Susann Staton of Seattle, WA, Brenda (John) Norman of Nine Mile Falls, WA., brother, Cary Johnson of Spokane, WA, stepsisters Vickie (Jim) Maggio of Suttons Bay, MI, Kevin (Hortencia) Hiner of Fresno, CA, Esther (Craig) Curtis of Richland, WA., numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-niece and nephews. He believed in GOD and was a long-time member of the Linwood Seventh-day Adventist Church. A celebration of his life will take place on June 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Linwood Seventh-day Adventist Church.
