Michael A. "Mikeeee" Crabb Obituary
(Age 75)
Passed away June 28th at his home. He was born March 13, 1940 in Tensed, ID to Ross and Mary Nixon Crabb. Mike attended grade school at St Joseph Academy in Tekoa, WA until 4th grade, then transferred to Tekoa public school. He then went on to college at SCC for 1 year. While attending college, Mike joined the WA Air National Guard. After college he got a job working for the forest service in Avery, Idaho. During that time Mike was offered a full time position as an Air Tech in the National Guard. Mike then was promoted to the Dispensary and stayed with the guard for 42 years and retired as a Master Sergeant from the 141st air squadron motor pool. Mike looked forward to summer when he could drive wheat truck on the Millers farm south of Cheney, WA. Mike met Dixie Hagel who ran the Geiger Base exchange back in 1966. Two years later he then married the woman of his dreams. Mike and Dixie then decided in 1974 to have a family and adopted their beloved son Jeffery Crabb; two years later they received the phone call while Mike was restoring and painting his 1915 Model T, that their baby girl Jennifer had arrived for adoption. Mike?s family continued to grow with Dana Hartley (wife to Jeff), Dan Condon (husband to Jennifer) and 3 grandchildren Deseree, Jake and Caden and step grandchildren Tyler, Dayton, Jacob and Avery. Mike was very active in multiple antique car clubs and was contacted quite often for his knowledge of antique cars. Mike was also a member of the Coeur D?Alene Indian tribe` Mike enjoyed spending his pastime visiting with all his old and new friends at the CDA and Northern quest casino. Mike was well known for his corny and sometimes colorful jokes. It didn?t matter where Mike would go he would always know someone and if he didn?t he would always make a new friend. Mike came from a small family and married into a big family that became his own. Mike loved spending time with his nephews and nieces, many memories, and good times of visiting and playing games and enjoying a beverage or two. He is survived by a sister Barbara Toetly. As Mykeeee would always sez??We put the fun back in funeral? and would love for you to attend his services: Wednesday, July 8th 11:00AM at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA and following at 1:00PM a Memorial Service at the Northern Quest Casino Pavilion. In lieu of flowers the family requests you donate to the VFW on Mission or the Air National Guard Booster Club in Mike?s honor.
