Michael Andrew Cooley passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Mike was a lifelong car enthusiast whose passion for automobiles shaped both his career and his friendships. For more than 30 years, he proudly owned and operated a local car lot in Spokane, where he built not only a successful business but also lasting relationships with countless customers and friends. He loved selling cars, talking cars, and especially driving them—sharing stories and laughter along the way.

A lifelong survivor of diabetes, Mike faced life’s challenges with resilience and determination. He was looking forward to retirement and spending more time relaxing at the lake, enjoying the peace and quiet he had worked so hard to earn.

Above all, Mike was a devoted husband and caring brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Ming Cooley, his brother, Trevor Cooley, and his niece Emma Cooley.

A funeral service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, March 14th at 10:00.  Immediately following the funeral there will be a service and a reception at Shadle Park Presbyterian at 11:30. The family requests in lieu of flowers that any donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Mike’s memory.
