Michael Case McClintock

Michael Case McClintock Obituary (Age 78) Michael passed away December 19, 2017, in Spokane, WA. He was born March 28, 1939, in Bartlesville, OK to Edward and Margaret McClintock. He attended Coffeyville College (Kansas) receiving his AA in 1962; BA in 1965 Univ. of Tulsa Law; LL.M in 1971; and SJD in 1975 SMU Sch. of Law. He enlisted in US Army 1957-59, serving in the 82nd Helicopter Med Unit, Ft. Sam Houston, TX and active reserve in Bartlesville from 1959-62. For 37 years, Michael taught at Gonzaga Law School, retiring in 2009. During that time, he received a diploma in Chinese Law, Univ. of East Asia, Hong Kong, coached Gonzagas Natl Appellate Advocacy Competition Team and was voted Best Teacher of the Year four times. During his retirement, he spent his time reading, writing, enjoying the grandchildren, watching the Zags and maintaining his sense of humor. One of his favorite sayings was Preach the Gospel at all times, using words if necessary by Francis of Assisi. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons, Jonathan (Amy), Jeremy (Dorcas) and Joshua (Melissa); daughter, Gabrielle; and Scott (son of previous marriage); sister, Meredith Maharg (John), Odessa, TX; and eight grandchildren in whom he delighted: Matthew, Maximillian, Caleb, Afrika, Pearl, Eva, Ezra and Boaz. At his request, a private family memorial service will be held in Oklahoma at a later date.
