Michael “Mike” Michael, a devoted husband, father, mentor, and veteran, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Born on June 6, 1960, at Nouasseur Air Base in Morocco, Mike lived a life full of adventure and unwavering dedication to family and country.

Mike was the son of Doris and Richard Michael, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Belinda; their four children—Caitlynn (Cody Davis), Michaella, Cole, and Cody; and his dog, Jakey Boy. The values Mike embodied—honor, strength, and integrity will remain deeply rooted in his family.

Mike began his distinguished military career in 1979. Over the next 20 years, he served with honor on worldwide assignments, spanning the globe in ways many could only wish to experience before retiring in 1999. His dedication to the safety and success of those he served with was evident throughout his career. His time at Fairchild Air Force Base was especially defining, where he was known as a steadfast and principled leader whose conduct and character inspired those around him.

After retiring from the Air Force, Mike worked as a test engineer at Pratt & Whitney, bringing the same precision and integrity to his role. He supported aircraft engine safety and reliability until his retirement in 2014, proving that life doesn’t slow down; it just changes direction.

Mike’s love for the outdoors was boundless. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who embraced every opportunity for adventure—from hunting elk, bear, and deer to memorable fishing trips in remarkable places. He cherished long days on the lake fishing and found joy in late‑night trail rides with Belinda and his favorite beverage, Coors Light. His deep interest in WWI and WWII history reflected his respect for courage, sacrifice, and the stories that shaped the world.

Above all else, Mike was a family man. His marriage to Belinda was a partnership built on devotion, resilience, and shared adventure. To his children, he was not only a father but a mentor and hero. He was steady, wise, and always ready with a solution.

May Michael “Mike” Michael’s memory bring comfort to all who loved him. Let them reflect on a life lived fully defined by service, adventure, love for family, and an enduring spirit of generosity and kindness.
