Michele Marie Woods Obituary Michele Marie Woods entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, May 9, 2015, the day before Mother's Day, in Spokane, WA. She was born Linda Jean Osborne on June 21, 1940, in Niagara Falls, NY. She completed her nurses' training with the Sisters of Charity at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL in1965, and although she had an art scholarship, continued to receive her bachelor's degree in nursing at St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO, in 1968. She was married to Dr. Robin Gunning from 1967 until 1975. She settled in the Pacific Northwest and legally changed her name to Michele Woods in 1978. She worked full time as a nurse for many years, and pursued other interests, including painting, Civil War history, and swimming. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and loved to write stories for her grandchildren. A devout Catholic, Michele instilled her deep Faith in her children and grandchildren, and her happiest moments were just spending time with them. She is survived by her three children: Therese (Kevin) Pichette of Ada, OK; Cheryl (Jeffrey) Pichette of Spokane, WA; and Donald M. (Tina) Gunning of Spokane Valley, WA. She has two living brothers: Gene and Michael Osborn, 15 grandchildren, and seven nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Helen Osborne and her sister, Helen Allen.
