It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Diane Brauner, 68, lovingly known as "Shelly," on Monday, September 16, 2024, in Spokane, Washington. Born on April 15, 1956, in Colville, Washington, to Ralph "Mike" M. Dobson and Patricia A. Dobson. Shelly lived a life of love, creativity, military service, and dedication to her family and community.

In 1985, Shelly married Rodney Brauner, and together they raised four children whose lives

were greatly enriched by her presence. She is survived by her husband Rod Brauner, and her children, Aaron Storer and Chelsea Brickner of Spokane, WA and Cheyne Storer of Colville, WA. She is also survived by her two brothers, Scott Guenther and Matt Dobson, sisters Maureen Dobson and Tammy Gray, three grandchildren and a great-grandson. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Brauner and father, Mike Dobson.

Shelly, a proud graduate of Spokane Falls Community College with an AAS in Interior Design, later channeled her passion for helping others by working as a Para-Pro, making a lasting difference in the lives of countless children. Prior to this, she honorably served her country for five years as a dedicated U.S. Army medic. Shelly was also a long-standing and active member of the Friends of Kettle Falls Library, contributing to her community throughout much of her life.

In her free time, Shelly enjoyed reading books, painting, tending her flower beds and she found great joy in the company of her favorite feline companion, Lucky.
