September 27, 1922 - February 11, 2010

Mike R. Montoya Obituary (Age 87) Today we celebrate the life of Mike R. Montoya born September 27, 1922. He is survived by his wonderful wife Bettie of 65 years and their two children Michael Montoya and Cindy Furse and son-in-law Dick. Mike was employed for 42 years by Western Union Telegraph, was a member of Spokane's Rotary Club 21 and St. Augustine's Parish. Mike passed from the loving arms of his family to our Heavenly Father on February 11, 2010. Much can be said of this great man, but little would attest to his amazing character as much as his devotion to his family and country. A veteran of WWII, Mike returned home to begin his fruitful and smile-filled life. His six grandchildren; Tami, Jamie, Nicole, Tony, Michael and Mercedes, and two great-grandchildren; Kyle and Jaida, are better for knowing him and benefit from Mike's life and the great humor he brought to them at the dinner table. He will always be, and has always been dearly loved and shall be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Mike's name to Hospice House ofSpokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
