May 22, 1935 - March 21, 2018
Morris L. Aman Obituary Morris made his journey home the morning of March 21, 2018, just shy of his 82nd birthday on May 22. Morris is survived by his wife Patricia K. Aman and his children Rick and Lynn Aman, Ken Aman, Connie Aman Harvey, as well as his grandchildren Jamie, Brett, Nathan, Nichole and Kristen Aman. His great-grandchildren are Jaylyn, Autumn, Brody and Layla. Morris had four siblings, Sandra (deceased), Faye, Earl and Chris. Their parents were father Henry E. Aman, mother Bertha, and step-mother Linda Aman. Morris graduated from Cheney High School in 1955 and served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1962 at Larson Air Force Base in Washington State. As a young man, Morris loved riding his Harley with his lifelong friend Kenny Goodner. He had season tickets for years to rally on the Spokane Chiefs and rarely missed a Zag, Seahawks, Mariners or Cougs game. If he wasn't building a new home or shop, he may have been planning deep sea fishing trips in Mexico, camping trips (and clamming!) to Sequim, and rounding up the boys for bowling night. Morris was a loving, caring husband to his first wife Norma Anderson Aman for 25 years until her passing. He married Patty on December 29, 1984 and together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Morris was a man of steel with a soft and big heart. He loved going to work everyday, 28 years of service for Spokane County as a building inspector, then starting his own business MPA Construction. Together, he and Patty built three beautiful homes together. If there were modern day Three Musketeers, they would be Morris, Nick Neiffenegger and Pat Henry, sharing along the way adventures and laughs, too many to count. Those who knew Morris well also knew he loved telling jokes, dancing and a well made Black Russian cocktail. Morris was full of life and made many friends along the way. He will be greatly missed. His memorial will be held on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018, at 1:00PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel. His inurnment will follow at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake, WA at 3:00PM. Thank you to the Spokane Veterans Home for their care of Morris over the past 6 years.
