Muriel L. Christensen Obituary (Age 94) Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with God October 11, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born August 23, 1915 in Ambrose, ND and graduated from Ambrose High School. Muriel was married in Spokane where she became a long time resident. She loved to crochet and made many afghans. She loved to watch golf and NASCAR races and was a member of T.O.P.S., AARP and Hillyard Congregational Church. She is survived by daughter Cheryl Bonnett, step daughter Janet Bonnett, son in law Norman Bonnett all of Spokane; step son Lloyd Christensen and sister Medriene Plette of Grass Valley, CA; brother Woodrow Sorenson of Lincoln, IL; grandchildren Kelley Bonnett, Shelene Gatlin, Kimberley (Chad) Panter, numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Engolph O. Christensen; parents Lasse and Olga (Swening) Sorensen, son Larry A. Christensen, step son Arnold Christensen and brother Lenard Sorenson. Muriel had a long time Christian faith, unconditional love and a great sense of humor. She was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday 8-5 at Heritage and Funeral Services will be 10:00AM Saturday October 17, 2009 at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E. Trent Ave. Spokane, WA 99202.
