N. Jean (Nickelby) Denbeigh Obituary (Age 70) Jean passed away on January 26, 2010. She was born on October 1, 1939 to John and Margaret Nickelby in Wallace ID. She grew up in Gem, ID, attended school in Burke, ID and graduated from high school in Wallace, ID in 1957. Two days after graduating she moved to Spokane and four days later went to work at Sacred Heart Hospital, a job arranged by her sister Maggie. She worked there for many, many years! Later she worked for Dr. Dan Phillips, which she really enjoyed. She loved seeing all the happy parents when their baby was born. Dr. Phillips also delivered three of her grandsons. After the death of her husband, John Denbeigh she went to work for Group Health, where she later retired. She made many lasting friends at Group Health, many whom she has kept in contact with. Jean was preceded in death by her husband John; daughter Terry; her beloved father John and mother Margaret Nickelby; sister Joanne Pollard and a brother Jack (John) Nickelby. She is survived by her son Richard Denbeigh; daughters Jackie Slocum and Jeanne Peterson; sister Margaret Hagle and the loves of her life, seven grandsons and a lovely granddaughter. She is also survived by her best friend and partner Richard Christopherson at their home at Seven Bays, WA . We wish to thank all the staff at Group Health in Fusion. Special thanks to Dr. Janet Chestnut and her nurse Kathy Wilson (a great friend), special thanks to her primary care provider Dr. Rosemary Schreoder and Barbra Romero who were not only her health care providers but her friends as well. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11:00AM. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
