Nickey "Nick" Allen Clark Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Nick Clark, born April 12, 1953 in Marion, Kentucky, announce his passing on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the age of 65 years old. Nick will forever be remembered by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn (n?e Turner) of Parkersburg, WV, and his children Cherri-Anne (Michael) Bickler of Moses Lake, WA, Eric Clark of Brookings, OR, Sarah (Erick) Doxey of Spokane, WA, and lovingly recalled by his five grandchildren Emma and Gabriel Bickler, Connor Clark, and Clark and Etta Doxey. Nick adored his grandchildren, focused on creating memories with them. He is survived by his sisters Wanda, Betty, Joyce, Sandy, Jackie, Paula, Norma, and Mollie of Kentucky, and his brothers Danny and Roger of Ohio. Nick is preceded in death by his parents Hershel and Margie, his brother Melvin, his sister Elaine, and his son James.
Nick retired as the Command Master Chief at Fairchild AFB after 28 years of service in the US Air Force. His love of country and fellow servicemen drove him, and he excelled in his career. After retirement, Nick served 10 years with the Department of Defense as a civilian. The military afforded him with the opportunity to travel the world with many adventures, most involving ?look at that rock!? Nick believed in using his back for hard work, known to fix anything and capable of improbable physical feats, while also believing in using his head. The value of education was important to him and he received two Associate of Applied Science degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Management/Human Resources from Park University, a Master of Business Administration from Touro University, and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University in Washington D.C.
Nick?s priorities were God and family. Nick lived a life filled with faith and gratitude to God. He believed everyone should have fun, in gratefulness to God, for this life on earth. Being a fully devoted follower of Christ, Nick was rooted in faith and knows he will see his wife again in Heaven. His Christian values shined through the stories he shared with his grandchildren: the importance of hard work, being kind to one another, and to trust your life to Jesus.
Nick?s celebration of life service will be Saturday August 25, 2018 at 11:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Church located at 1523 W Mallon Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, Nick would want you to tend a garden, water your lawn, or enjoy a good steak.
