Nona Boosinger Obituary (Age 88) After 88 wonderful years of life, Nona moved on to be with the lord, on January 11, 2016. Nona was born on September 2, 1927 in San Diego, California to Howard and Elsie Stevens. In 1934 Howard, Elsie, Nona, and baby sister Jeanne moved to Westwood California where Nona grew up. Nona graduated from Westwood High School in 1946 and then attended Business College in Los Angeles. Nona later moved to Spokane where, she met Darwin (Bud) Boosinger. They were married on July 2, 1950. They had one son Steve. Nona moved back to Chico, California with her son Steve following her divorce in 1958, to be close to her sister Jeanie and her husband Joe and their kids Don, Denise, Cyndy, and later Tina. Nona lived and worked there until 1987 when she moved back to Spokane to be near her son Steve, who was a teacher in the Spokane area. Nona loved animals and had many pets throughout her life. Nona lived the last 16 years of her life at Northpoint Senior living (Brookdale) in Spokane with many friends. Her biggest thrill was spending time each day feeding the birds and Squirrels who became regular visitors. Nona is survived by her son Steve and his wife Pam in Fairfield, WA, her sister and lifelong friend Jeanne Ramirez from Corning, California, her nieces and nephews, Cyndy Herfi and husband David from Eagle Lake California and their family, Don Ramirez from Mill Creek California, Denise Oliver and husband Steve from Ryndon, Nevada and her family, and Tina Richter and husband Brad from Saratoga Springs, Utah and her family.
