Opal Barbara DeChenne Obituary (Age 87) Passed away March 5, 2013. She was born November 17, 1925 in Omak, WA to James T. and Hazel D. (Veasey) Steele. She moved to Spokane from Omak in 1942 and graduated from North Central H.S. in 1943. Opal married John E. DeChenne on December 20, 1946 in Spokane. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved bingo. She was Past President of Hillyard VFW Post 1474 Auxiliary, Arlington PTA, past officer of Ivanhoe Chapter Order of Eastern Star, a Golden Eagle of Aerie #2, Guardian for Job's Daughters Bethel 36 and a member of Morgan Acres Community Church. A Memorial Service for our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother will be 1:00PM Friday, May 3, 2013 in Heritage Chapel. � To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Opal, please visit our Tree Store.
