Opal L. Andrews Obituary (Age 95) Opal was born on May 20, 1916 in Spokane to Rasmus and Olina Nelson. She entered into rest on December 16, 2011. Opal was a lifetime resident of Spokane and an avid quilter. She retired from Pacific NW Bell after 23 years of service. Opal was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers and Sons of Norway. She was also a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Opal is survived by her only brother Martin Nelson, Sun City, CA; daughter Francene L. Guenther, Nine Mile Falls, WA; son Steven Peterson, Spokane, WA as well as eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lavern H. Peterson; second husband, Thomas A. Andrews; four sisters, including her identical twin Ruby Lake and two sons; Joel L. Peterson and Gary R. Peterson. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
