Ottilie Marie Paulsen Obituary Ottilie Marie Paulsen passed away peacefully January 10, 2014 in Rancho Mirage, CA. She was born on March 20, 1928 in Czechoslovakia to Ernst and Marie Niederle who immigrated to Canada and then Washington State when she was three years old. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Clarence I. �Cip� Paulsen Jr. and her four children Kim (Mark) Powers, Mark (Pam) Walker, Todd (Robyn)Walker, Annie (Cal) Johnson and step-children Christi Ann Paulsen, Clarence I. �Cip� Paulsen, III and Michael Paulsen. She had nine grandchildren: Jason, Alli, Larisa, Crystal, Hayden, Forrest, Drew, Meg and Beth. She also had four great-grandchildren: Walker, Logan, Kolt, Kellen and her beloved dog Muffin. Tillie always had a smile and warm hello for everyone in her life. Her children will carry with them all the gifts of love and support she was continually showering on them. Tillie always enjoyed new experiences ranging from traveling abroad to the latest movie. She and her husband Cip divided their time between Sandpoint, ID and Rancho Mirage, CA. She had many dear friends in both places that made her life very full. She was a member of Junior League of Spokane and enjoyed playing golf with friends and family at Hayden Lake Country Club in Idaho and Thunderbird Country Club in California. Tillie was a consummate game player; she particularly loved bridge. Her bridge partners held a special place in her heart. Tillie also had a passion for reading and spending time with those she loved. She was the center of all family gatherings and her laughter and love will be greatly missed. The family suggests any memorial donations be made to the Poor Clare Nuns of Spokane or Kinderhaven Children�s Home, Sandpoint, Idaho.
