Otto John Taufen Obituary (Age 60) Otto passed away suddenly of a work-related accident on September 22, 2017. He was born on June 30, 1957 in Walla Walla, WA to Margaret and Robert Taufen. Otto will be remembered as a patriotic American and exceptional iron worker and welder belonging to Local Union 14. He was never too busy to help a friend in need. Otto loved puttering in his shop, restoring old trucks and cars and spending time with his family and friends. He was instrumental in starting SCOPE, Elk, WA. Otto and his father enjoyed being a part of various Rendezvous Days across the area. He will be dearly missed by family and neighbors far and wide. Otto is survived by his wife, Brandey St. Claire; son, Joseph R. Taufen; daughters, Roberta Robi Taufen and Tawnia Embree; step-daughters, Chris Hughes and Mykla Bradley; grandchildren, Desirae, Gage and Athena; step-grandchildren, Izabella and Scarlett; mother, Margaret Taufen; brother, Walt Taufen; sisters, Mary Taufen, Elizabeth Taufen and Cathy Reisenauer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, his two Brazilian Mastiff dogs, Yousah and Dozer and Nez Perce Appaloosa, Image. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Taufen and father Robert Taufen. A Memorial Service will be held in honor of Otto on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:30 am at Heritage Funeral Home.
